For God loves, takes pleasure in, prizes above other things, and is unwilling to abandon or to do without, a cheerful, joyous, and prompt to do it giver whose heart is in his giving!”

The Anointing – The Seal of Approval

My Thoughts On Giving – By Judy Block

Be ye thankful! When you give, it should come from a thankful heart. The Lord loves a thankful heart, and He (God)expresses it over and over again in His word, the Bible.

Psalm 100:4 “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him,and bless His name.”

When you come into His presence be thankful! Be thankful that you have been granted the privilege of meeting with Him, and tell Him. Tell Him you are thankful. Tell Him how much you love Him and His presence. Love on Him with a thankful heart! He is awesome and deserves a heart that is thankful and appreciates Him. Do you appreciate Him? Are you thankful He has revealed Himself to you? There are many people in the world who do not know Him, who are clueless to His existence, and could care less about knowing Him.So you make sure that Jehovah God knows you are thankful!

Saying thank you is not just something you do to be polite, but again it shows who you are at heart.

Luke 6:43-45 “For a good tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. For every tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush.A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.”

Out of the abundance of a thankful heart, bring Him Your gifts.Whether it is from your mouth pouring out your love on Him in praise and worship, or your financial help for others, or the giving of your tithe, have a thankful heart. Being a good tree that bears good fruit is what we all want.Being thankful to God is good and always brings forth good fruit.

It’s always good to hear someone say thank you. It’s nice to be appreciated. But I believe having a thankful heart warms God’s heart too. It’s just like when your child tells you “I love you mommy”.I know I love it.

In other words God loves a cheerful, thankful, over the top willingness to give heart. Don’t we all?

Nehemiah 12:27, 31 and 38-43″Now at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought out the Levites in all their places, to bring themto Jerusalem to celebrate the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings and singing, with cymbals and stringed instruments and harps.” “So I brought the leaders of Judah up on the wall, and appointed two large thanksgiving choirs. One went to the right hand on the wall toward the Refuse Gate. . . .The other thanksgiving choir went the opposite way, and I was behind them with half of the people on the wall, going past the Tower of the Ovens as far as the Broad Wall, and above the Gate of Ephraim, above the Old Gate, above the Fish Gate the Tower of Hananel, the Tower of the Hundred, as far as the Sheep Gate; and they stopped by the Gate of the Prison. So the two thanksgiving choirs stood in the house of God, likewise I and the half of the rulers with me; and the priests, . . .with trumpets; . . .The singers sang loudly with Jezrahiah the director. Also they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced, for God had made them rejoice with great joy; the women and the children also rejoiced,so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard afar off!”

When Nehemiah dedicated the walls and gates they had rebuilt around Jerusalem, what did they do?They celebrated with thankful hearts! And God was so blessed by their praise and thankfulness that He blessed them in return with great joy!I believe He granted them the joy of His presence. So they gave our wonderful G-d, Elohim, over the top thanksgiving and praise for His goodness and faithfulness to help them rebuild the walls and gates around Jerusalem. God is awesome, and He deserved it all!

II Corinthians 9:6-8 “But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.”

How do you purpose in your heart when you give? Yes, whatsoever a man sows that shall he also reap. If you sow or give or even pay someone for something with a thankful heart,God will see to it that you blessed.

Luke 6:37-38 “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

If you are thankful, you will not judge. If you are thankful, you will not be so willing to condemn others. And if you are thankful, you will also live a life of forgiving others. Why? Because you know what you have been forgiven of and the great price that was paid for your redemption. So then when you give God will bless you, because He is good and He always blesses a thankful heart!

II Corinthians 9:10 “Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.”

When you are a person who is not only obedient in your giving, meaning you are faithful in giving your tithe and offerings to help others, but you give with a thankful and grateful heart,God will make sure you have seed to sow. This attitude of faithfulness and a grateful heart gives God a lot to work with.

God will lead us to give in such a way that it is not only strategic, but it’s like an assignment. It’s very exciting when you know He is doing that, because He is always working it all together for your good, the good of others, and for the good of His Kingdom on the Earth as it is in Heaven. It can cause some resistance from the enemy, but God will always prevail for those who walk in obedience. He knew what was going to happen when He gave you the assignment. You just need to stand your ground and follow His leading in your secret place of prayer! (Ephesians 6:10-18; Psalm 27:13-14)

I Corinthians 15:35-38 “But someone will say, ‘How are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come?’ Foolish one, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies. And what you sow, you do not sow that body that shall be, but mere grain – perhaps wheat or some other grain. But God gives it a body as He pleases, and to each seed its own body.

God always has a plan for what He wants you to sow. He has a plan for your tithe. It is to put food on your table, to give you shelter and clothing. The tithe is there for your everyday needs as well and the needs of your congregation. (Matthew 6:24-33)

God gives your seed a body as He pleases. Not what you think it should be, for we are limited in our thinking. Don’t get me wrong, you need to ask, because God wants you to ask. But God gives it a body! He is able to make all grace abound toward you with all sufficiency. He is waiting for you to ask, so He can give you an assignment. Why? So you can reap the benefits of sowing and see the faithfulness of God! Every seed you sow in obedience to His leading has a body!

1 – The first thing I want you to do is say “thank you” to the Lord for “His unspeakable gift”, (I Peter 1:3-9) which I think means: it’s so wonderful that words cannot adequately express it.Only love and a thankful heart can

2 – Ask God to help you have a cheerful, thankful, over the top willing and obedient heart. And then be open to let Him lead you and work with you.God loves you so much.He wants you to have good fruit on your tree.He wants to help you, and He wants to bless you.

It’s that simple, be thankful.

Now I want to say “Thank you”. Thank you for being open to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

May the Lord richly bless you.
Your friend,

Matthew 6:19-21 “Do not store up for yourselves treasure on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in Heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is,there your heart will be also”.
